The Cruisin' Gimli Beach Car Show, set for July 14, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, promises an exciting day for car enthusiasts and families alike. Hosted by the Gimli Car Club, this event is celebrating its 21st year and will feature a "Show & Shine" and a walking poker run. Registration for participants is $10 and will take place at the Sobey's parking lot, starting at 8:00 AM. The first 400 cars to register will receive dash plaques. In addition to the car show, there will be live music, food vendors, and various entertainment options for all ages. The event also coincides with Collector Car Appreciation Day, highlighting the importance of automotive restoration and collection. This year’s show is held in memory of Don Swaffer and will offer attendees a chance to enter a raffle to win a Simonize Platinum 1800 psi electric pressure washer. The event is a significant fundraiser for local charities, with proceeds benefiting community initiatives.
